60 Beautiful Boya Lake
Boya Lake Provincial Park on the Cassiar Highway, British Columbia, Canada
September 17, 2010

number_name

Boya Lake has a bottom of white clay, a characteristic of a number of lakes in this area. Combined with extremely clear and pure water it produces amazing shades of green in the shallow areas, shading through turquoise to dark blue further out.

British Columbia's provincial parks are superlative, some of them as large as national parks, many of them protecting unique and significant features and ecosystems. I have enjoyed camping in them since I first ventured north of the border thirty years ago. The campgrounds are immaculate and well sited, the campers always well-behaved.

Boya Lake has one of the best campgrounds, with all the sites in a row along the lake shore. On sunny days it is beautiful beyond compare.
