| A beautiful morning at Pickhandle Lake on the Alaska Highway. Fine fall colors (yawn...) and so peaceful that the ducks sleeping on the floating dock barely even looked at me. This stretch of the Alcan has a number of interpretive stops like this, with well written and illustrated panels, almost like a national park. This one explains native trading routes, pond ecology, and all about muskrats. | |||
