Trinidad is a charming village on the bluffs sheltered behind Trinidad Head. It is noted for its picturesque lighthouse, dramatic coastal views, fishing boat harbor, seafood restaurants, marine research station, and beach. At the 2000 census it had a population of only 311, making it the smallest incorporated city in California.
