The long ridge east of the Newton Drury Parkway and Prairie Creek is covered in fine old growth redwood forest. It can be accessed via several trails and the unpaved Cal Barrel Road. Lost Man Creek at the south end is the site of a monument proclaiming the redwood parks a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
