Noyo is Fort Bragg's fishing harbor, built around a curve at the end of the Noyo River. Not much fishing these days, stocks have been depleted to disastrous levels and need to recover. The formerly abundant salmon runs have been decimated by damage to their spawning grounds during logging. Only the crab fishery seems healthy.
There are several seafood restaurants in the harbor area, and just enough locally caught fish to keep them honest. Actually, if you want halibut or salmon it is probably not local any more, most likely brought in frozen from Alaska.
