Mendocino's Main Street runs west from the old coast highway (now Lansing Street). Five blocks long, it consists of a row of New Englan style Victorian buildings, all built of redwood, with the Mendocino Hotel in the middle. This is the town portrayed as Crab Cove, Maine, in the "Murder She Wrote" televison series,
