Virtual Guidebook to Yosemite and the Central Sierra Nevada
Yosemite Falls Trail
Yosemite National Park California

The trail begins at Camp Four, out of sight of the falls, and climbs a series of switchbacks under oak forest. There is a great view at Columbia Point, then the trail rounds a corner and gains an unobstructed view of Upper Yosemite Falls.

The trail continues to switchback up alongside the upper falls to the very top, with a branch descending to a vertiginous ledge at the very brink.
